One-to-one coaching
Stuck in your career, sitting on a business idea you keep not starting, or watching everyone use AI while nothing about your own week has changed. I give you a space to think clearly, a plan you actually believe in, and someone holding you to it.
What we work on
Sometimes it's direction. Sometimes it's getting AI to actually change how your week runs. Both use the same rhythm and the same accountability.
Track one
For when you're at a crossroads. You've hit the goals you set and don't know the next ones. The role stopped fitting and you can't name what comes after it. There's an idea you keep not starting. We work out what you actually want, then build the plan and the accountability that gets you moving on it.
"The regular check-ins and positive pressure have enabled me to work towards goals that would have otherwise remained on the shelf."
Mohammad Hasan, Building SurveyorTrack two
For when you know AI should be changing how you work and it just isn't. This is not another webinar. We take your real week, your real documents and your actual bottlenecks, and build AI into them one workflow at a time.
It's the same one-to-one work I do inside organisations through AI Compass Labs, most recently with BIMA and the Muslim Sports Foundation. In both, the shift came from the one-to-one sessions, sitting with one person and building the thing around how they specifically work. You can now book that part directly.
"The training made me realise just how much more powerful and practical it can be in my role. This has already saved me a significant amount of time."
Sahiba Majeed, Data & Insight Manager, Muslim Sports FoundationMost people end up doing some of both, and that's fine. Direction work tends to surface where your time is going. AI work tends to surface what you actually want your time for.
Who this is for
Most people come to me at a crossroads. Not in crisis, just clear that the current version of things isn't it anymore.
You hit your goalsAnd now you genuinely don't know what the next ones are.
The role isn't rightYou know it. You just can't name what comes next.
The idea is still on the shelfYears of talking about it and it hasn't moved.
You want into techAnd you don't know where you'd even start.
Fine on paperGood job, good CV, and something still feels off.
Work has eaten everythingYou keep meaning to set boundaries and keep not doing it.
You tried ChatGPT and it didn't stickYou open it now and then. Nothing about how you actually work has changed.
Everyone's moving and you're notYou nod along when AI comes up and quietly hope nobody asks what you use it for.
You want your headspace backAdmin, inbox, reporting, minutes. You know it should be automatable and can't see where to start.
This probably isn't for you if you want someone to hand you the answer. I do offer that, it's the consultation option, but it's a different thing to coaching.
It's also not for you if you aren't willing to do anything between sessions. The work happens in the gaps, not in the hour.
How it works
Coaching is about raising awareness and responsibility so you can unlock your own potential. I'm not going to tell you what to do with your career. I'm going to ask the questions that get you to your own answer, then make sure you act on it.
No pitch. You tell me where you're stuck, and you decide if I'm the right person. Coaching only works if the fit is right, and I'd rather find that out in 15 minutes than 6 sessions.
50 minutes of coaching plus 10 minutes where you can tap my experience directly. Over Zoom, or on the phone. The fortnightly rhythm is deliberate: close enough to keep momentum, far enough apart to give you time to act.
Included in every programme. This is where a lot of the value sits, because the wobble usually doesn't happen neatly on a Tuesday at 2pm.
Clients describe my style as developmental, friendly and approachable. I listen properly, I ask the questions you've been avoiding, and I adapt to what you need that day. Sometimes space to think out loud. Sometimes a push to go and do the thing.
Results
Not hypotheticals. These came out of real coaching relationships.
In their words
Wanted to kickstart a startup
"The regular check-ins and positive pressure have enabled me to work towards goals that would have otherwise remained on the shelf."
Mohammad Hasan, Building Surveyor
"Initially sought coaching from Arfah to gain motivation from someone outside my field. The experience has been nothing short of amazing, leaving a positive impact on both my personal and family life.
Since we started working together, I've successfully differentiated my work from family life, a crucial step for me. Professionally, I've made significant progress by transforming a long-standing idea into action. With Arfah's guidance, I submitted funding applications, networked effectively, and developed a minimum viable product (MVP) using both my field and technology.
Arfah's coaching has been instrumental in breaking down barriers, particularly in navigating the world of technology alongside my role in Planning and Architecture. This dual focus on personal and professional development has been invaluable.
I would describe Arfah's coaching style as 'developmental', the regular check-ins and positive pressure have enabled me to evaluate and work towards goals that would have otherwise remained on the shelf. The outcomes speak for themselves, securing Innovate UK grant funding, successfully developing a website, and utilizing a No Code Platform to build an MVP. Additionally, Arfah's support has helped me establish a potential collaboration with a university, opening doors for future opportunities.
Personally, I've achieved a better balance, dedicating focused weekly time to my family and creating boundaries to separate work and personal life. Arfah has played a pivotal role in helping me get my priorities straight.
In summary, Arfah's coaching has been transformative, leading to measurable outcomes and achievements. I highly recommend Arfah to anyone seeking a coach who can provide not only guidance but also the motivation to turn ideas into reality."
Had hit their goals, didn't know what was next
"Over the past 12 months, I've transformed into a different and more empowered version of myself."
Mohammed P, Data Engineer, NHS England
"Seeking coaching with Arfah was a pivotal decision for me, driven by a sense of being lost in both my career and life direction. I had achieved my initial goals but found myself unsure of what lay ahead. Discovering Arfah's coaching sessions through Muslamic Makers felt like the right opportunity to navigate this uncertainty.
Working with Arfah has been a thought-provoking experience, delving into my motivations, desires, and self-discovery. The process has left me feeling more confident, self-assured, and excited about personal growth.
The progress has been tangible, my confidence has soared, and I've embraced the idea that taking risks and exploring new avenues is crucial for growth. Over the past 12 months, I've transformed into a different and more empowered version of myself.
Coaching has been instrumental in overcoming challenges, providing a space for personal and professional growth. I now feel comfortable stepping into leadership roles, speaking up, and even addressing an audience with less nervousness.
Arfah's coaching style is friendly and approachable. She actively listens, ensuring your voice is heard. Tough questions are asked to catalyze self-improvement, fostering a journey toward becoming a better version of oneself.
The measurable outcomes of my efforts are evident in the establishment of the Muslamic Makers West Yorkshire Chapter, the successful organization of numerous events, and the heightened engagement I've fostered in the tech community. Additionally, my commitment to giving back has been fulfilled through my involvement on the LevelUp platform as a mentor, where I've guided and supported aspiring data engineers. These experiences have not only enhanced my skills and expanded my network but also instilled in me the confidence to pursue a Senior Data Engineer role.
Arfah's coaching has not only shaped my professional trajectory but has also contributed significantly to my personal development. I am grateful for the journey and the positive impact it has had on my life."
At a career crossroads
"Less about ticking boxes, and more about making intentional, aligned choices at my own pace."
Policy professional
"I started coaching with Arfah at a time when I felt stuck and at a career crossroads. I knew the role I was in wasn't right for me anymore, but I didn't have clarity on what came next.
Arfah created a grounded and non-judgemental space where I felt supported to explore difficult questions, and begin rediscovering who I am. Her style of gentle accountability, supportive listening, and thoughtful challenge helped me uncover insights I wouldn't have reached on my own. I appreciated how she adapted to what I needed in each session, sometimes giving me space to reflect, other times encouraging me to act.
Over time, I began to view 'progress' differently, less about ticking boxes, and more about making intentional, aligned choices at my own pace. I'm grateful for the clarity and confidence I gained through our work together."
Why me
I'm a lifelong community builder who accidentally co-founded a startup called Discoverables, which led me to co-found Muslamic Makers. It grew from 50 people in a room into the UK's largest community for Muslim technologists, recognised as one of "The 100 Most Innovative Global Muslim Startups to Watch". Over 8 years I gave countless hours of free support through it, helping founders raise, helping people move into digital and tech careers, and building a space where people could grow their confidence.
My experience spans the private and public sectors. I built communities of product and delivery managers for the UK Government, launched the first Number 10 Innovation Fellowship programme, fostered AI communities in healthcare through NHSX, and led a community of VCs called Impact VC. I'm now full time growing Muslim Tech Fest. I've also been an angel investor through the Ada Ventures Angels programme, and I work closely with minority founders and underrepresented talent.
I also run AI Compass Labs, where I teach organisations to actually use AI. Recent work includes BIMA and the Muslim Sports Foundation, building live systems for clinical case summarising, board minutes, impact reporting and comms. What I learned there is what I bring to the AI track: data quality matters far more than clever prompting, small focused assistants beat one big generic one, and adoption is a behaviour problem before it's a technical one. I'm also a late-diagnosed ADHDer with dysgraphia, so none of this is theory for me. It's how I get through my week.
So when you're weighing up a career move, a funding application, a community you want to start, a jump into tech, or where AI could genuinely take work off your plate, you're not explaining the landscape to me from scratch.
Programmes
Every programme is one-to-one, fortnightly, and includes WhatsApp support between sessions. Both tracks run on the same structure and the same price, and you can move between them as things change.
6 sessions
£850
Six 60-minute sessions, fortnightly
12 sessions
£1,500
Twelve 60-minute sessions, fortnightly
Or 3 payments of £500
One-off consultation
£150
Per hour, pay as you go
Worth saying plainly: for coaching to give you tangible results, I recommend a minimum of 6 sessions. A single hour is great for a specific decision, but it won't do what a programme does. The 12-session programme can be paid in three instalments, so cost doesn't decide it for you. If your employer has a learning and development budget, this is exactly the sort of thing it's for, and I'm happy to invoice them directly.
Questions
It's 15 minutes, it's free, and there's no pitch. You tell me where you're stuck, I tell you honestly whether I think coaching is the right thing for it. Sometimes the answer is no, and I'll say so.
For real, tangible results I recommend a minimum of 6. Coaching isn't a one hour fix. It works because of the rhythm and the accountability between sessions. If you only want focused advice on a specific decision, take the one-off consultation instead.
Both, and that's deliberate. Each session is 50 minutes of coaching plus 10 minutes where you can tap into my experience directly. You choose how you use that 10 minutes.
No. I coach founders, career changers and working professionals across sectors, men and women. My background means I understand the specific things Muslim professionals and underrepresented talent navigate, and that matters to a lot of my clients, but it isn't a requirement.
AI Compass Labs is for organisations: bootcamps, systems sprints and custom builds for a whole team. This page is one to one. If you want your team trained, that's Compass and I'll point you straight there. If it's you personally, and you want AI built around how you specifically work, it's this.
No. The people who got the most out of this inside BIMA and the Muslim Sports Foundation weren't technical, they were people with too much on. What stops AI adoption is almost never the technology, it's behaviour and not knowing where to start on your own actual work.
Yes, and most people do. Direction work tends to surface where your time is going. AI work tends to surface what you actually want your time for. Same programme, same price, we just spend the sessions where they're most useful.
No. A lot of my clients come to me precisely because they don't. Working out what you actually want is the coaching.
Sessions are fortnightly and 60 minutes, over Zoom or the phone. Most clients fit them into a lunch break or the end of the day.
