A Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship project
A collection of videos, stories and pictures captured during my fellowship travels to America, Pakistan and the UAE. I never saw myself reflected back in the industry I worked in, so I went looking for the role models whose stories needed to be told, and the best practices in diversity, technology and entrepreneurship worth bringing home.

I contribute as one of the 15% of women who work in the tech sector, and as a Muslim woman an even smaller percentage. Having set up my own community for Muslims in technology, I still struggled to find other inspiring women. Looking across the globe, I felt there were role models whose stories needed to be told.
In 2017 the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust awarded me a fellowship to travel to America, Pakistan and the UAE, interviewing women in technology and studying how organisations approach diversity, technology and entrepreneurship. This site is my report.
